Cookie Policy

Last Updated: June 29, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies asqcqt.com uses, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide analytics information to site owners. Some cookies are strictly necessary for the site to function; others require your consent.

We also use localStorage (a browser storage mechanism) to store your cookie-consent preferences on your device under the key cookie_prefs. This is not a cookie but functions similarly.

2. Cookies We Use

Name Category Provider Purpose Retention
cookie_prefs Essential (localStorage) asqcqt.com Stores your cookie-consent preferences so the banner is not shown on every visit. Persistent (until cleared)
_ga Analytics Google LLC Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated number as a client identifier. 2 years
_ga_* Analytics Google LLC Persists session state for GA4 (property-specific cookie associated with the GA4 measurement ID). 2 years
_gid Analytics Google LLC Distinguishes users. Stores and updates a unique value for each page visited. 24 hours

Marketing cookies: We do not currently deploy any marketing, advertising, or social-media tracking cookies (e.g., Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag). If this changes, this Policy will be updated and fresh consent obtained before any marketing cookies are set.

3. Google Consent Mode v2

We use Google Consent Mode v2 to ensure Google Analytics only sets cookies and sends identifiable data when you have given your explicit consent:

  • When you first visit, both analytics_storage and ad_storage default to denied.
  • In the denied state, the GA4 script loads but no user-identifying cookies are written and no page-view hit is fired.
  • Google may still receive anonymous, aggregated, cookieless signals for conversion modeling; these cannot identify you.
  • When you click "Accept All" or enable analytics in the preference panel, consent is updated to granted, GA4 cookies are set, and a deferred page-view event is fired.
  • This behavior applies on every page load, not only the first visit.

4. How to Manage Your Preferences

4.1 Our Cookie Preference Panel

Click (also in the footer) to open the preference panel at any time. You can enable or disable analytics cookies and save your choices.

4.2 Clear localStorage

To reset your consent and see the banner again, open your browser's developer tools (F12), go to Application > Local Storage > asqcqt.com, and delete the cookie_prefs entry. Reload the page.

4.3 Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies via their settings. Note that blocking all cookies may affect functionality. Guidance for major browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

4.4 Google Analytics Opt-Out Add-On

You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your data from being collected by GA across all sites.

5. Changes to This Policy

We will update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies, or when applicable law requires it. Material changes will be flagged with an updated "Last Updated" date. Where required, we will re-obtain consent before setting new non-essential cookies.
